Campfires & Cocktails
The 4th Annual Campfires & Cocktails fundraiser in support of the Neil Lovatt Memorial Fund (NLMF), will be hosted at The Burroughes on Friday, April 29, 2016.

The Neil Lovatt Memorial Fund was established in 2002 as an initiative of the Southill Glen Foundation and the Muskoka Woods Youth Foundation (MWYF). Each year, the NLMF sends more than 120 economically disadvantaged youth to Muskoka Woods for an unforgettable week. In partnership with organizations like Urban Promise, Youth Unlimited, One Voice One Team and the Salvation Army, a total of 1,651 deserving youth have created lifelong summer camp memories.

Campfires & Cocktails
Campfires & Cocktails is a Toronto-based charity event celebrating summer camp and the very best of Muskoka. This year, the Burroughes on Queen West will be transformed into a truly magical Muskoka experience.
For many kids, leaving their city or neighbourhood is just a dream. Established in 2002, the Neil Lovatt Memorial Fund puts summer camp within the reach of deserving youth from at-risk communities. As a successful business leader, Neil quietly sent kids from the Warden Woods area of Toronto for an unforgettable week at Muskoka Woods. When Neil died after a courageous fight with cancer, the Muskoka Woods Youth Foundation established the Neil Lovatt Memorial Fund to continue the work Neil had started many years before.

Through the “Send a Kid to Camp” program, Muskoka Woods works with respected agencies and organizations to select youth who come to camp. Those who are chosen not only have an unforgettable summer and the chance to experience fresh air, freedom and fun— they also get a taste of life with new possibilities.

Timbergrove Lodge built in 2010, allows partner organizations to bring up a group of youth with their own leaders during our regular summer program. This unique cabin offers our guests an opportunity to continue building their relationship with a common meeting room and campfire pit.

Imagine making camp a reality for youth from at-risk communities. Donate to the Neil Lovatt Memorial Fund and make someone’s dreams come true.
